Harding Homestead on The Boniah

Harding homestead is a recently renovated stone farmhouse which dates back to the late 1800s. The owner’s aim was to create a comfortable space with modern features which guests can enjoy whilst also preserving the old-world charm and rich history the house retains.

Harding homestead can comfortably accommodate 9-10 guests with 3 queen beds, 1 double bed, 1 single and 1 single day bed. Towels, sheets, pillows, and light blankets are provided however, if visiting over the cooler months it is recommended you bring additional blankets.

Harding homestead is a private, tranquil spot perfect for relaxing under the homestead’s large wide verandahs, enclosed sunroom or shady trees. You are also free to take a stroll and explore the spring fed creek and its surrounds.  

The homestead also makes the perfect base to explore the region with a scenic drive through rolling vineyards, thriving farming land and coastal ranges, visiting iconic places including Yongala, Melrose, Wilmington, Terowie, Booleroo Centre, Burra, Hallet, Port Pirie and Bundaleer forest just to name a few.

The local district is rich in history with many places to visit and explore close by or if you’re looking for something a little further away; venture into the Flinders Ranges via hawker 150kms away or head south to the famous Clare Valley wine region, an easy day trip, 105kms

Harding Homestead is set off the bitumen road from Jamestown to Peterborough and is located between Mannanarie and Yongala.

The driveway is monitored by security camera and entrance gates are to be kept closed at all times.

At Harding Homestead, we aim to provide a private, quiet place for you to stay, relax and explore, however, please be aware as the homestead is located on a working farm; there will sometimes be some farming activity taking place including feeding/moving livestock and fence maintenance.
